  Aside from her regular care here, which overall has been very good, we have had the typical problem here that we have at almost all the other hospitals my mother has been to, this one just took my mother off her pain medications, that she has been taking for 2 decades, cold turkey and without communicating with us. Then when she became violent, self abusive, extremely agitated and sleepless they set and acted like they have never seen typical severe withdrawal symptoms from pain medication and said they had no idea why she was acting like she was out of nowhere. Both my father and I were telling every person we could find, including her doctor, that she was having severe withdrawals bc they took her off her pain medication cold turkey. After arguing with everybody for three days straight they finally put her back on them and now she is fine. I don't know why every place she goes to, the doctors there always take her off her pain medications, EVERY time. Even when we make them aware of the fact that she has been taking them for decades for her severe nerve damage, they still think they know better than us and take her off anyways, without even telling us, then I have to watch her in horrible shape for days while they put her through hell, all because they think they know better than everybody else what a patient should be treated with. She has had her all medications, not just her pain medications, messed with and changed so many times, we have made about 50 copies of her medication list for people, but it still never gets reviewed by the health-care workers there when she is admitted to someplace.
